Partnerships

Hydrostor is committed to engaging and supporting the communities of Kern County. While the project is located nearest to Rosamond, we are also investing in the surrounding communities of California City, Mojave, Boron, and Tehachapi.

The Willow Rock Energy Storage Center will be a generational asset for Kern County, with a 50+ year operational lifetime. Hydrostor is proud to be a member of the East Kern community and to help facilitate the region’s growth for decades to come. As Hydrostor's activities in the community expand, we look forward to continuing to grow our support and partnership with these local stakeholders, as well as bringing hundreds of family-sustaining jobs to the community.

Hydrostor is committed to supporting our host communities through development and operations of our long-lifespan projects.

Background
Hydrostor - Drone - Rosamond
In recognition that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to serving Kern’s diverse communities, collaboration with various community and business-led organizations has opened numerous opportunities to identify and address specific needs. This ensures that Hydrostor’s efforts provide tangible results for the betterment of East Kern.

Sponsorship participation includes:

  • Rosamond's Armed Forces Day Parade
  • Mojave's Gold Rush Days Festival
  • Tehachapi's Mountain Festival
  • Antelope Valley Community College Wine Walk Fundraiser
  • California City Chamber Scholarship

Collaboration in Action

Honoured People

Honoring Community Heritage

We’ve partnered with the Tehachapi Chamber to sponsor a bench built from a recycled wind turbine blade, which serves as both an educational tool and a symbol of Kern County’s dynamic energy economy, honoring the hardworking people and industries that keep California powered.

People Supporting Families in Need

Supporting Families in Need

At the heart of our community work is our relationship with Safe Haven Kids League of California City, a small nonprofit with a big impact. Safe Haven shows us what it truly means to be a good neighbor, and our partnership goes beyond annual financial support — from helping distribute food during Thanksgiving to assisting with shoe and backpack giveaways, we are honored to roll up our sleeves to be present alongside them.
